They looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of
the LORD appeared in the cloud.
Exodus 16:10
We often talk about revival as though it were an old friend, but how many of us have actually set foot in a community where its fearful splendor was on full display?
Over the past sixteen years, our quest to understand and document true revival has taken us into forty-two nations on six continents. At times, the scope and intensity of this pursuit has been reminiscent of the Discovery Channel’s hit television series Storm Chasers. Lots of false alarms accompanied by moments of sheer exhilaration.
Following the moving cloud of God’s Presence has also yielded its share of surprises — with none more impressive than the comprehensive nature of God’s reviving work. We were fully prepared to encounter widespread conversions, social changes, and perhaps the occasional miracle, but that was where our expectations ended. The notion that spiritual awakenings were the primary impetus for social reforms and economic renewal (a case argued by Nobel Prize-winning economist Robert Fogel), or that the healing presence of God could extend to the land itself, was new territory for us.
A second surprise related to the sheer volume of these Spirit-swept communities. Since our investigation commenced in the mid 1990s, we have encountered no less than 800 examples (and there are surely many more we haven’t yet heard about). Locations range from large metropolises such as São Paulo, Brazil and Cali, Colombia, to clusters of rural villages in places like Papua New Guinea, the Peruvian Amazon, Nunavut Canada, and the Fijian Islands.
In early 2025, the fruit of The Sentinel Group's investigative travel will be made available to the public through a new online channel called The Moving Cloud.
By downloading a dedicated Sentinel Group app, interested visitors will be able to see and hear the same stories of God's power that amazed us in the field. Best of all, they will be able to access this inspiration through their home TV or mobile devices.
The Moving Cloud channel will be a selection option alongside Documentaries & Short Films and Live Events such as training seminars, conferences, and Q & A forums.
Within The Moving Cloud area itself visitors will be able to access five sub-channels — Previews, Stories, Interviews, Teaching, and Member Exclusives. New content will be released twice weekly, with Sundays devoted to stories and Wednesdays alternating between interviews and teaching.
The anticipated launch date for The Moving Cloud channel is late January or early February 2025. An announcement will be posted on this site three weeks prior along with a preview video for the channel.
There are three ways to access content on The Moving Cloud — as a general visitor, as a subscriber, and as a Sentinel Group member.
General public visitors will be able to view select content — including stories, interviews, and teaching — free of charge in the Preview subchannel. They will still need to download the Sentinel Group app, but that is also cost free.
Subscribers can access considerably more cross-channel programming for $6.99 per month ($83.88 annually). This can be done through our hosting partner Lightcast.com and is a good option for those wanting to keep up with weekly episodes.
Membership is our top-tier access option, and includes content that is unavailable to both subscribers and the general public. This extra content is found in a Member Exclusives subchannel — not only in The Moving Cloud, but also in the Live Events section. It also includes numerous other benefits and privileges including discounts on tours and various training events. Memberships are designed for people who want maximum content, but are also looking to undergird The Sentinel Group in its ongoing mission to provide this unique and powerful content. Membership donations are $20 per month ($240 annually), and are largely tax-deductible.
